Rapid growth and the "War for Talents"

At the end of 2019: Shopware is growing steadily. In contention for qualified employees, positive corporate culture must be strengthened further and ensured.

Three goals are set:

  1. Actively work on the internal Feedback culture at the team level
  2. Company-wide, measurable anchoring of Corporate values - within the teams
  3. Strengthening the role of Managers as coaches - through Bottom-up & on-the-job development

An intensive search for a suitable software tool that can accompany this process is conducted.

Echometer as a solution

Echometer is introduced company-wide - at just the right time, before Corona breaks out.

Bottom-up change

During the outbreak of Coronavirus, Echometer proves to be a valuable tool, supporting managers in ensuring the adaptability of teams:

The teams collected feedback on current developments and psychological aspects of their teamwork every 2 to 4 weeks. The results of this were then reflected independently in team workshops (so-called retrospectives) together with their manager.

Echometer takes on the role of digital coach, covering the moderation and organization of the retrospectives, so that the teams and managers can continue to concentrate on their work.

The Cultural Health Check

The management and HR team can centrally define questions that will be asked across all teams. 

This gives the HR team continuous insights into the well-being and development of the teams. With this, it can be seen whether managers are incorporating the feedback while working independently with their teams or not.

Here, too, both managers and HR have some work saved by self-organization of the teams.

The added value

A learning and adaptable organization

The HR team there has insight into the activity of the teams and can thus follow, live, how the teams are developing, at an average of 4.6 action items per team and drive change.

When I look at the Echometer dashboard, I see that our 26 teams are working on over 150 active measures. This clearly shows how Echometer helps us to initiate very specific changes in the teams.
